Glow is the one genuinely different tool in a jig box.
Past about 100 feet, color is largely gone — water has stripped out red, then orange, then yellow, and everything reads as a grey silhouette. A glow jig does not depend on ambient light at all. It emits its own, which is why it keeps producing at depth, at dawn and dusk, and in dirty water where nothing else gets seen.
Charge it properly. Thirty seconds under a bright light or a dedicated UV torch before each drop makes a real difference.
110g is the standard offshore weight. The Hydro profile cuts current and drops fast.
