Braid does not really cut, it frays. Ordinary clippers crush and tear the fibers, and you are left with a furred end that will not pass through a hook eye no matter how long you sit there twisting it.
Purpose-built braid scissors shear the strands instead of pinching them, so the line parts square and threads first time. On a night trip, with a headlamp and a moving deck, that is the difference between fishing and fiddling.
Rinse them in fresh water and dry them after a trip. Salt is what kills every cutting tool on a boat.
