This is the net to learn on and the net to throw all day. At 3/4 lb per foot it is roughly half the lead of a pro-weighted net, which means a much easier throw, a far better chance of opening a full circle while you are still learning, and shoulders that still work at noon.

Light lead is genuinely the right choice for shallow water. Throwing at pilchards over grass flats, mullet in a foot of water, or bait pushed against a seawall, the net does not need to sink fast — it needs to open wide and land flat.

The 3 ft and 4 ft kids nets are sized for a child to actually open, and come with a bucket so the bait has somewhere to go. Best way there is to get a kid into fishing before the fishing even starts.
