Inshore is a finesse game with a heavy-tackle failure mode. You are throwing quarter-ounce heads at fish that live within a rod length of oyster bar, dock piling and barnacle-covered concrete, so the hook has to be sharp enough to stick on a soft bite and strong enough not to straighten when a slot red decides to go around a piling.

What works on the Sarasota and Tampa Bay flats works the same way in the Louisiana marsh, the Alabama bays, the Texas coastal lagoons and the Carolina sounds. Different water, same fish, same tackle box.
