Egg-shaped sinkers with a swivel built into the body.

This is a rig simplification that just works. A traditional sliding sinker setup needs an egg sinker, a bead and a swivel threaded and tied in the right order. A swivel egg lead is all three in one piece: tie your main line to one end, your leader to the other, and you are done.

Fewer components means fewer knots, which means fewer failure points and a much faster re-rig when you are drifting off the spot.

The egg shape still does its main job of rolling over rock and shell rather than wedging, which makes it the right lead for fishing hard bottom and oyster in the Gulf bays and Atlantic sounds.
